There is a word I rarely hear used, ever, and that word is Praxis. Praxis is the integration of belief with behavior. I use this word often when working with clients as it is the key component in order to change your behaviors to achieve the goal you have put in place. Believing in yourself is the single most important thing you can do.
Have you ever come across anyone who is gritty? It sounds like such a dirty word and in fact, it can be considered the fuel that drives any person to achieve a goal they are going after. Passion is what is going to keep you going. It’s the burning flame inside you that may get dim at times due to a setback, but it is always there. It never goes out.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say this and that person truly believing it. This is such a flawed premise and really leads so many people down a road that doesn’t result in success. When you are “faking it” you’re usually trying to be someone you’re not. You are basing a lot of your decisions, or goals, on trying to achieve what someone else has. Taking the same path they took, trying to be as successful as they are.
