Background

Prior to starting my coaching business, I worked for a business technology company where I started in an entry level position. With a great management development plan and incredible mentors who believed in me, I quickly worked my way into the roles of Manager, Director, Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Shareholder over the course of 17 years. For much of that time I worked as an executive team member and helped lead the company to 8 major awards, including Best Places to Work, Help Desk Institute Team Certified Award, Top 10 Managed Service Providers and guided the company to a Vermont Outstanding Business of the Year award. In addition, I chaired a North American User Group Board and facilitated a semi-annual roundtable meeting of high profit and performing technology businesses from 2008 to 2013.

How I Got Started

My management development training began in 2001 when I was introduced to the management development curriculum Building a Quality Team. This was the cornerstone for developing my management style and technique where I learned how to balance management by objective (MBO) and humanistic approach to managing people. While we all default to one side or the other, the goal is to keep the pendulum from swinging to either side creating a balance between the two.

As I developed as a manager and leader, I was introduced to the movie “The Secret” in 2006. I was intrigued by one of the people in the movie, Bob Proctor. As I researched Bob more, I found he had a personal development curriculum that allowed you to really understand how the mind works and the impact of the Law of Cause and Effect. This moved into the realm of universal laws and the true secret that, we become what we think about.

Taking what I learned from the personal and management development curriculum, I became a certified consultant with the Proctor Gallagher Institute with the intention of taking everything that has helped me be successful over my career and sharing it with individuals, athletes and businesses around the world.

My Why

I believe that success comes from within. It took me years to understand this. While I was so focused on how the outside world saw me or what others thought about me, it wasn’t until what I thought about me started changing my results in life. While understanding and adopting the concept of living from the “Inside Out” vs. the “Outside In” and the guidance and support of mentors along the way, my purpose naturally fell into place and became fulfilling which led to more success. Sharing everything I’ve learned, which has created a successful life and career, is my new purpose. Helping others become successful, however they define success, while helping them develop the skills they need to reach the goals they are looking to achieve.

“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”

— Henry David Thoreau
